Nižná Myšľa
Nižná Myšľa is a world famous archeological locality close to Košice where extensive artefacts from Bronze Age were discovered. Due to its significance, this placed is called „Mikény of the North“. Realization of this unique task has required deep study of this historical area, close cooperation with main archeologist Ladislav Olex as well as taking a think how to enter this area with such history. There were 2 views; one was creating a „Disneyland“, so called potemkin village with accidence which would look similar to what was there before or a brand new solution which takes into account its history but from the other side.
We created a solution based on a new archeological principle which preserves a sign message for far beyond past. We decided to place a Museum building completely under the ground and create a glass cut to the ground which represents revealing the past not only by an archeologist but also by a museum visitor who, by entering it, will get 3000 years behind.
